João Pedro Morelli heads the DFA’s Intelligence Department, supporting the office and the international asset recovery procedure with his financial analytical experience and background, conducting forensics analysis, mainly assisting legal trustees, judicial administrators and foreign liquidators in the identification of diverted assets and financial mismanagement features.

João Pedro started his professional career as a former auditor who subsequently acted as a consultant and advisor in projects related to finance, accountancy, actuary and economy. Along his way, João engaged and took part in projects of mergers and acquisitions of airports and road concessionaries, hydroelectrical power plants, construction and consulting engineering enterprises.

Furthermore, João developed business and assets valuation models for semi-public and privately held companies, as also assisted them in public bidding procedures. His experience with Corporate Finance enhances his ability to analyze financial transactions and to reveal the underlying reasons for some economic operations. João’s expertise boosts DFA’s proceudre to seek and investigate frauds, allowing him to head the office Intelligence Department.
